Brooknelle Dog Boarding - Grand Rapids, Michigan Information

Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccinations must be current upon your pet's arrival at Brooknelle and must remain current throughout your pet's stay at the kennel. All three vaccinations are required for boarding, grooming, and day care appointments. 

NOTE:  Bordetella vaccination must have been administered 7 days prior to your boarding visit.  We require this vaccination to be current and given yearly.

• Visitors are always welcome to visit the kennel any time during regular business hours. ( Tours can be given Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm.) *No appointment necessary.

• Pets may board overnight at Brooknelle (drop off and pick up dates are 7 days a week), come for the day to visit friends (day care provided Monday through Thursday 8am to 6pm), stop in to freshen up/get a haircut (grooming appointments available Monday through Friday 8 to 10am), or just wave to us from inside the car on the way by.

• Please inform the kennel staff (prior to or during check in) of any medical needs, uncommon behavior, and/or personality issues your pet may have so that we can continue to provide the best care possible.

• Feel free to bring items from home to help make your pet's stay more comfortable - beds, blankets, towels, toys, nylabones, etc. (Please try to bring bedding that is machine washable).

• You may bring you own pet food if you like (please put it in a plastic waterproof container/bag with your pet's name on it) or we can provide Science Diet Sensitive Stomach dog and cat food free of charge.

• It is always best to either carry your pet into the building or walk your pet in on a leash.

• Pet cots, play time, bedtime snacks, and medicine administration are all available for a small additional charge per day.

• Please be aware of Brooknelle's "NO BITE" policy. (Feel free to ask for further details).

• The Kennel Office is closed all major Holidays (you can not pick/drop off pets on holidays.

• Pets will not be released after regular hours of business (Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 2pm, and Sunday 9am to 12 noon).

• Boarding, Grooming, and Day Care appointments must be scheduled in advance. Please call ahead to set up all of your pet's visits. Your pet will thank you for it later...
